Important Brushes and their Purpose

So there are many of you beginners out there that are looking out to buy new makeup products, but what's makeup without brushes? You can mess it up real bad if you dont have the right brushes. Yeah we have great brands selling us a whole bunch of the brush packs but they're too costly and you're just a beginner to buy those and still endup with the same clown face, wondering what brush is for what purpose and endup using them for the wrong reason.
So here I'll mention only the important brushes and each one's purpose,

Foundation

Stippling Brush

This is a brush that used to be highly over rated once it came out new! But now that we have beautyblenders and sponges; noone seems to remember this brush. This is a flawless finish foundation brush that can be used on the face, blending the foundation in a circular motion to get the right finish!

Flat Foundation Brush

Now this is a common one, who DOES'nt have this?! This is a normal foundation brush you can use, by applying the brush onto the amount of foundation you'v taken out, and just dab it onto the face while blending it downwards to get a smoothe coverage

Beautyblender/ Real Techniques Sponge

These are everyone's Inexpensive favorites! Beautyblender & Real Techniques miracle sponge, all you do is soak them in water and squeeze it out; it poofs into a bigger size. Dab them in your foundation and it'll absorb the right amount of foundation that you can apply right onto your face as these bouncy sponges give you that look

Kabuki Brush

Now these are the Best Brushes you can use for a powder foundation coverage, Kabuki brushes have large bristles and a shape that will get you the coverage

Highlight&Contour

Fan Brush

This is the Brush you see on most of those highlighting tutorials on instagram. This brush can also be used to remove fallen eyeshadow on the cheeks, but this shape will give you a sharp highlight ( Powder Highlighter )

Flat Contour Brush

This Brush can be used to Contour like Kim Kardashian! Using Cream Highlighter & Contour Pallete, you can draw those highlight & Contour lines on your cheekbones on the areas you want, however this brush can't be used to blend the contour lines you've drawn, But you can easily blend them with a sponge

Blush Brush
A Blush brush that has a pointy yet fluffy shape like in the picture will put all that highlighter right above your cheekbones, because this shape supports where you want your blush, so using it as a highlighter brush will help

Tapered Brush

A tapered brush can be a good option to apply your highlighter as it has a much more pointy shape yet fluffy bristles to support where you specifically want your highlighter, either cream or powder

Bronzer/Kabuki Brush
A Kabuki Brush OR a bronzer brush are both good applicants for Bronzer! They blend the bronzer till it gives you the bronzed/tan look. Their fluffy shape does the trick, can also be used for Powder foundation.

Concealer Brush

A Concealer Brush is basically a mini version of a foundation brush; because a foundation brush is too large to cover small areas that need to be concealed, we have this. You can use any brush that looks like a mini foundation brush to conceal your areas

Blush

Kabuki Brush
This brush can also be used for blush on as it will give you the natural look that it gives when used for bronzing, not using too much product as it's big enough to make a messy clown face

Blush brush
The exact brush for getting vibrant cheeks and blushy apples! This is the shape of a brush that is basically used for blushon

Angled Blush Brush

This brush is'nt really a blush brush but a good option if you want to cover the blushon just below your highlighted cheekbones

.EYEBrushes.

Eyeshadow Base Brush
The first step is to always create an eyeshadow base when it comes to eye makeup, so these are the basic brushes to create a base by just tapping it into the product and then right onto the eyes, just tapping! Not blending

Crease Blending/ Fluffy Brush
To Create a Crease you can use these sort of blending brushes that are pointy shaped but not sharp at all, and very fluffy! These brushes can be used to create a crease by just blending it where you want it

Blending Brush
The first three brushes are like those that I mentioned above, that can also be used for crease; but the last two won't be able to do that as they're ONLY good for blending. These two types of brushes are great blenders but I would still suggest the shape of the first three, as they're good for both blending and crease.

For Cat Eyeshadow
Angled Brush

To create a sharp cat eye look, this is the brush you'll need. It's also a great brush for winged eyeliner and eyebrows! But for Cat eyes you can simply apply the product with this brush at the end of your cat eye makeup to create a sharp Cat eye!

For CutCrease Eyeshadow
Pencil Brush

For a 'Cut Crease' Eye makeup look, you would probably be confused what brushes to use for a neat look! This Pencil brush can be used to create the crease only where you want it without messing that Cut, as this brush has a shape that supports where you want your product

To fill In the eyelid you can simply use a base brush just by tapping the product into your eye as you need not blend it

For Glitter Eyeshadow
Applicator Brush
We often get confused about how to apply glittery eyeshadows, But if you have powder Glitter you might need to use this brush. As it catches the product easily and you can apply it by just tapping it onn.

EyeBrow Brush
This is a combination of two important eyebrow Brushes, usually we get them seperately but it would be easier to just get this one!
The brush on the bottom can be used to fill in your brows and create the shape you want very neatly, whereas the brush on top is used to blend the product into your eyebrows and comb them into the shape with a gel or mascara

Eyeliner Brush

For Gel eyeliners & Liquid eyeliners that don't come with good brushes, this is the brush you need!

Smudge Brush

To create a sexy mess below your lashline by smudging some kohl or eyeshadow, this brush is exactly for that!

Lip Brush
Lipsticks have a shape too big to cover that lipline neatly, so Use a lip Brush for a neat Lippy look
